Winner of the 2008 Gina Bachauer international Young Artist Piano Competition, Sijing Ye has appeared as soloist with Fort Worth Symphony under Maestro Miguel Harth Bedoya, Big Spring Symphony under Maestro John Giordano, Xia Men Philharmonic Orchestra under Maestro Shi Jun Wang, Miami International Piano Festival Orchestra and Maestro William Noll.
Sijing has given multiple recitals in many major music halls within the U.S, China and Europe, which includes George Weston Recital Hall at the Toronto Center for Arts, Koerner Hall in Toronto, Atheneum Roman Music Hall in Bucharest, Benedict Music Tent in Aspen, Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale, Lincoln Theatre in Miami Beach, Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Peter Jay Sharp and Paul Recital Hall of Lincoln Center in New York, Beijing Music Hall, ZhongShan Music Hall, and Hong Kong City Concert Hall.
Sijing, also the winner of multiple awards, that include the First Prize at Gina Bachauer International Young Artist Piano Competition, of Salt Lake City, U.S.A.; winner of the Academic Piano Concerto Competition at the Aspen International Music Festival; First place at the 69th Steinway and Sons International Children and Youth Piano Competition; First Prize at the Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest; Second Prize at the Canadian Chopin Competition, and Winner of Orchestra Toronto Concerto Competition Marta Hidy Prize.
Born in Southern China, Sijing began studying piano at age six, went on to study at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing under Bao Hui Qiao. In 2004, when Sijing was 12, she won the Second Prize at the Gina Bachauer International Junior Piano Competition. When she was 13, She was accepted to Curtis Institute of Music. In 2006, She moved to New York to study with Yoheved Kaplinsky at the Juilliard school with full scholarship, where she graduated in 2010. She was also the only artist of Mr. Bruce Kovner, who is the chairman of Juilliard School and Lincoln center. Sijing has received her diploma in Piano Performance (Bachelor) with Mr.John Perry and Artist Diploma with Mr. James Anagnoson at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto with full scholarship. She was also a private student of Dang Thai Son and Hung Kuan Chen.
In 2016, Sijing founded the Bellissimo Academy for Music and Arts (BAMA) , as well as “BAMA Concert Series.” BAMA Concert Artists includes world well-known pianists Dang Thai Son, Sofya Gulyak, James Anagnoson, and Giselle Brodsky. In the summer of 2018, BAMA will present “BAMA Piano Masterclass Summer Academy” in Woldingham, UK, faculties will include Ilya Itin, Sofya Gulyak, and Dinara Klinton.
Sijing has served on juries at multiple international piano competitions, including 11th Moscow International Frederick Chopin Competition for Young Pianists and Marta Hidy Prize Concerto Competition in Canada. Sijing is also the director of 11th Moscow International Frederick Chopin Competition in North America Regional. Sijing also give masterclasses in United Kingdom, Canada, United States and China.
